On the 25 - 27th of February 2022, we had the privilege of meeting up as a team at the beautiful Kuaotunu. Our team consist of teachers from Christchurch, Taranaki and Auckland. Our hosts and facilitators are Dorothy, Matt and Jenny. All in all a lovely group of people.
Our accommodation was top-notch and all set up when we arrived, thanks to a great backstage team.
The goal of this weekend was to meet each other as a team face to face and learn to know about each other's challenges. Also to collaboratively support each other through the design thinking process.
We worked through the first 3 stages which are: Empathise, Define (the problem) and Ideate. These activities were hands-on and allowed for slow thinking to take place. We had the opportunity to pick each other's brains and to test our thoughts in a safe space.
It did help that after our sessions on Friday we could go for a nice cool swim in the ocean and dinner at Luke's Kitchen. Great time for team building and learning to know each other.

I went home tired after all the brainstorming, but excited about the possibilities of solving a challenge.
